... were two very different bands who came out of the early 80’s Long Island punk & hardcore scene, but shared almost all the same members.  Jon Sanborne was the lead vocalist for Cheerleaders only;  everyone else pulled double duty.  Jeff Earing was the singer & guitarist for Insanity Defense, but played bass in Cheerleaders.  Nelson Rowe was the guitarist (& sometime vocalist) for Cheerleaders, but played bass in ID, & Ron Pitt drummed ferociously for both.
